About Mr. Russo
Mr. Russo is the Auto Service Technology Instructor here at CVCC. After having worked in the automotive field for 23 years, Mr. Russo using direct instruction and real-life experiences to provide students with the skills they need to pursue a successful career in the automotive industry. Below is a brief program description for Mr. Russo.
AUTO SERVICE TECHNOLOGY •Tech Prep
Credit: 3.5 elective per year
This is an ASE/NATEF certified program in which students learn to inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical systems in late model automobiles. Students learn to do a complete engine overhaul and to repair all parts of the chassis of an automobile. Units on the alternator, the starter, and electricity are taught. Second year students learn to use a computer driven engine analyzer. This program is taught by Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certified instructors and prepares graduates to pass the ASE certification exam.
