About Mr. Stricklett
Mr. Stricklett is the Construction Technology Instructor here at CVCC and has been a teacher here at CVCC for more than ten years. In each of his classes, Mr. Stricklett uses direct instruction and real-life experiences to provide students with the skills they need to pursue a successful career in the Construction Industry. Below is a brief program description for Mr. Stricklett's courses.
CONSTRUCTION TRADES •Tech Prep
Credit: 3.5 elective per year
Students in this program will be trained in the building, remodeling, maintenance and repair of public or private buildings and homes. During the course of the year, students will build a house. Skills learned include carpentry, wiring, drywall installation, roofing, masonry and integral related skills such as safety, mathematics, blueprint reading, and estimating. Apprenticeship opportunities are available. This program is accredited by the National Center for Construction Education & Research (NCCER).
