This program prepares students for a career or a higher education program in the field of business.  Students learn in a simulated company office, organized and run like a business, in which they choose a career track in Financial Management, Small Business Management, Information Management.  All students learn Microsoft computer applications, goal setting, time management, organization and other skills common to all business careers.  Instruction is individualized and self-paced where students choose what they will work on every day.  Students complete a six-week internship at a local business the fall of their senior year and have the opportunity to take place in Early Placement beginning in January.  They  may choose to acquire Microsoft Office User Specialist (MOUS) certification and to take the exam for IC3 certification, a three-part computer technology credential.  It is recommended that students complete keyboarding prior to entering the program.
