HOW TO ENROLL AT CVCC

High School Students:

CVCC programs are available tuition-free to high school students residing in the CVCC district, who are enrolled in a diploma-granting high school program.  This includes students enrolled in one of the associated public schools in the district, a home-schooling program, or a non-public, community, charter or on-line school located in or out of the district.  If you live in another district, you can attend CVCC on a tuition basis with your district’s permission.  All applications from high school students must be submitted through the guidance counselor of the high school the student attends.  The guidance offices in each of the associated public schools in the district have application forms. You can also get application forms at the CVCC high school office or by contacting the CVCC Enrollment Secretary (440-746-8216).  If you or your counselor have questions, contact the CVCC Enrollment Counselor (440-746-8286).

You must be 16 years old by October 15 of the year you begin at CVCC and have completed two years of high school. Most students attend CVCC their junior and senior years, although some students enter their senior year and complete the second year of their program after graduation. There are also some one-year programs for seniors only.

Adult Students:

Adults who are not in school may enroll in high school programs if space is available. The courses are open to both resident and non-resident adult students, but non-residents must pay tuition at the prevailing rates.

Adult application forms are available online or at the CVCC high school office from the Enrollment Secretary (440-746-8216). Adults should return their applications directly to the Enrollment Counselor at CVCC.

CVCC also has a separate Adult Education Division, which offers classes on a fee basis for both in-district and out-of-district adults. Call 440-746-8230 for more information, or return to the home page and click on the Adult Education button.

Everybody:

To ensure enrollment in a specific program, submit your application in January to your guidance counselor or, in the case of adult applicants, directly to the Enrollment Counselor. Applications will be accepted through the first week of school, space permitting. If the program you want is full, your name will be placed on a waiting list.

Applications are processed in the following order:

  • Resident high school juniors
  • Resident high school seniors
  • Non-resident, tuition-paying high school students
  • Resident adults
  • Non-resident adults.
