Mr. Moore has had an interest in information technology all of his life. Even when working in other careers, a large percentage of his professional responsibilities centered around maintaining company computer systems, networks, applications, and data.
Mr. Moore started his career in public education in 2002 as Technology Coordinator in the Adult Career Center at Lorain County JVS. Deciding to focus on teaching high school aged students, he completed the Bachelor Plus Program at Ashland University, earning an Integrated Business 4-12 license. He taught business classes for one year at Mentor High School. Wanting to teach Information Technology, he taught the Cisco Academy at Normandy High School in Parma for five years.
Mr. Moore has an Associate degree from Lorain County Community College majoring in Computer Programming, a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Tiffin University, and a Master's in Education Degree from Ashland University. He also has information technology company certifications in networking, database, computer support, security, help desk, and telecommunications.
Prior to a career in education, he worked as a commercial pilot, flight instructor, and federally licensed aircraft technician for 14 years; computer programmer in the health care industry for three years; and a self-employed business owner for over 10 years in wholesale distribution supporting retail businesses.
